#Attraction Notice ·2023-01-13 08:58:34
1. First Systematic Protection of City Wall
In October 2025, construction began on the Zhaotong Ancient City Wall Ruins Park. The project will reinforce and display approximately 400 meters of rammed-earth wall remains from the Qing dynasty, addressing the long-standing gap in the city’s historical representation.
2. Blending Ecology and History
Designed with a “low-impact” approach, the park preserves native vegetation and features interpretive trails, a “Timeline Wall,” and viewing platforms narrating Zhaotong’s evolution from a Qin-Han county to a Qing-era walled city.
3. Opening Planned for 2026
Scheduled for completion in June 2026, the park will serve as a public recreational space and educational site, enhancing the city’s holistic heritage conservation framework.
