Zhaotong Ancient City Museum Launches Digital Cultural Relics Exhibition

In October 2025, Zhaotong Ancient City Museum launched “Digital Relics: Cloud Zhaotong,” a special exhibition using 3D modeling and holographic projection to showcase 30 precious artifacts, including the Eastern Han “Meng Xiaoju Stele,” Han dynasty bronze drums, and Qing-era salt transport permits.

2. Integrated Online-Offline Experience
The physical gallery features interactive touchscreens and VR zones where visitors can “disassemble” artifacts and read inscriptions. The online version allows global access, expanding cultural outreach.

3. Enhanced Educational Outreach
Complementary digital study kits with animated lessons and quizzes have been developed for schools and included in Zhaotong’s “Culture into Schools” initiative.
