The Long Zhizhen Mansion, built during the Republic of China period, was the residence of Long Zhizhen, the younger sister of Long Yun, Chairman of the Yunnan Provincial Government. It is a two-story detached villa with a brick-wood structure, blending Chinese and Western architectural styles. The mansion features a four-sided sloping roof covered with small green tiles, with ridge decorated with interlocking cylindrical tiles. Its interior boasts Western-style decoration, including a Western-style fireplace, and is equipped with ventilation and moisture-proof holes. In 2018, it was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit by Zhaotong City. In 2024, the Zhaotong Municipal People's Government raised funds for its protection and restoration.
Long Zhizhen (1889–1935), also known as Long Dengfeng, with her Yi ethnic name Naji Meiji, was the younger sister of Long Yun, Chairman of the Yunnan Provincial Government during the Republic of China period. A native of Zhaotong, she graduated from Zhaotong Girls' School and was passionate about education and local public welfare. She funded the establishment of Zhaotong Girls' Primary School Kindergarten, local public welfare initiatives, a girls' middle school, Zhizhen Primary School, and Yanshan Primary School. Additionally, she founded a sugar factory, established market fairs, and recruited farmers from Zhaotong, Yongshan, Qiaojia and other areas to reclaim wasteland for farming. Due to her widowed mother's old age and her brother Long Yun's military service away from home, she oversaw the construction of the Long Family Ancestral Hall, cared for her mother for over thirty years, and remained unmarried throughout her life. She was affectionately called "Long Gūtài" (Aunt Long) by the people of Zhaotong.
